What a Wonderful World

July 20th, 2012

Lately I have been singing this song to myself and I felt I need to share it with you on my blog. The reason being was an issue at the debate this past Monday between District #5 Commissioner Jim Coletta and opponent Tim Nance. They were both asked about what they foresee in the future for Golden Gate Estates. Once Jeff Lytle finished asking that question, I had an urge jump up, grab the microphone and start singing with arms flowing, " I see skies of blue, clouds of white, a bright blessed day, a dark sacred night, and I think to myself, what a wonderful world."

Then my song continued on of what I foresaw for our future in The Estates, which is so much more. But I can save that for another day. And yeah, I can be a bit of a geek sometimes, but I mean it.
It is a wonderful world. And even as you sit there and read this and may have that small notion to disagree with me, maybe it's time you reflect. Then ask yourself, how can I make it even more wonderful?

Then I want you to sing,
"The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.
Then I think to myself, what a wonderful world."

This campaign season for has taken a toll on everyone in society as whole and it truly is sad. Not just our local campaigns but the Presidential bid as well. It's too bad that we all have to stop all progress (as it seems), whenever there is an election year. No one seems to want to focus on priorities that should be taking place and what jobs that should continue. It seems to go on for almost a year. What a waste.

And it also seems the first thing that comes to everyone's mind whenever the least bit of information is written or asked of any opponent is; Will it be detrimental to one's campaign? Will that affect determine the outcome of one's future? Will this blog that Annette writes trying to say something? And so forth.

We really have to put this mentality behind us if we all want to come together as a community and as a nation. The divided parties are getting worse and the blame game has got to stop. The loss of ideas have gone unnoticed and it's literally killing the nation. Maybe everyone needs to start singing this wonderful song and get back on the wagon and focus more on our future. So let's get to work, let's move forward, let's continue to progress and sing to ourselves, "What a Wonderful World."

Enjoy this link and your day will be filled with just that:
