We Are District 5

October 6th, 2014

Reading about the candidates in the paper recently gave me a little boost to write a little more about our district and why we as a majority support Tim Nance.

If you have ever been out to any areas of District 5 recently, you will already see and feel a change in attitude. Some call it a relief, some call it hope, but I call it strength. There is new blood coming to our
Commission and that new blood will be Tim Nance. Just looking back at his primary election and you observed tremendous support and respect for Tim. A support duly noted.

Why do we need Tim? Because Tim has a good head on his shoulders and his ideas and vision for our future gives us exactly what we need. And that's hope. We need his transparency and voice and I amongst many others will be there stronger than ever to support Tim. Plans are coming together to get the same treatment for our community like the rest of Collier County gets. (It's about time, don't you think?) But we also need you to join in and make that difference too. That's what our community is all about.

Many of us know very well we have been shafted in many areas such as roads, parks, bridges, and a yes, a voice. We need a positive future and we need someone we can not only trust, but someone we can work together on many issues that come our way. Tim is that man. Many things need to change but Tim cannot do this alone. We as a community need to work together. We need to step up with our voices and be heard, working together so the right decisions can be made.

Big plans for our community are already in the works for the coming 2013 year. I have been offered to be on the Golden Gate Estates Area Civic Association board as the park advocate. Something we all know I am very passionate about and will make happen. Other plans with community members and their passions will also be focused on. Each will continue to head individual issues as we then come together and work on them as a community. These issues include roads, bridges, I-75, Immokalee, Everglades, impact fees, taxes, Vanderbilt Ext, and so forth. We will make ourselves known and we as a district will become top priority to Collier County.

Support Tim and he will support you.
