Keep The Faith
June 18th, 2013
Recently I have been faced with an exorbitant amount of
circumstances that have certainly given me much more thought into my
life. Thought that continues to lead me into the path of my faith.
As I look back at a blog I wrote for my 2013 new years resolution, I remember writing how I was so thankful I was to leave the year 2012 behind. Well, this year hasn't gotten any better, no matter how many times I write that it will. But I constantly remind myself life is great and that I can push on. And I will.
This past Sunday at mass was the most difficult mass I have ever attended. With personal issues that have crept recently into my life, I am just so thankful of Father Bob at St. Agnes Catholic Church. My husband and I, along with our boys, sat peacefully as Father Bob preached the sermon of the day. I was shocked as he read the sermon, as though he were speaking to me. Personally, I couldn't handle it. I had to get up and get out of there as fast as I could. I needed a break from his words, though knowing his words meant everything to me.
Quietly I made it back to our pew as the boys looked at their me, trying to understand what just happened, being too young to know. I took a deep breath as our new polish Father Jan Antonik finished the mass with his introduction. He has recently replaced our Father Tom, a really funny polish priest that has since moved to Bradenton.
After Father Jan (pronounced Yahn), introduced himself, he told a short story making us all laugh. I good laugh I needed. So I say thank you Father Bob and thank you Father Jan for this past Sundays mass, it meant the world to me.
