Where Have I Been?




Exactly, where the hell have I been?  It's been two months since my last blog and time has just been flying by!  Gee, maybe cuz we had a hurricane or something?  Next thing you know, I was off to Germany. Sheesh!

I do have three blogs started, just never seem to be able to finish.  Teenage Wasteland, Irma's Wrath, and Oma.(Which means Grandmother in German). I promise to work on those soon.  I was just lucky to have internet when I came home from Germany this past Tuesday.  We went a whole month without and it certainly can take a toll on working out of my office. Thing is, when I write, I'm best in my office, door closed, and total quiet.  Can't say I have had that 'til just about now.😀

This is short and sweet because I felt the need to get at least a few paragraphs out there to let you know I still love to write and to hang tight!  But just for the hell of it, here's a few quick thoughts.

The hurricane sucked and I need a new roof.

Kim Jong Un and North Korea need to be blown to bits.

Stock Market is so overbought, it's ridiculous!

High School football is a total joke for kids to play.

Trump is still a whacko!

Girls in Boy Scouts?  Give me a break!

Feel sad for all those who lost everything in hurricane.  I should be thankful.

Interest rates need to be raised.

It's a buyers market and housing inventory is high.

And yes, I am still single since the divorce. 😜

Turkey Turds and Rainwater

November 16th, 2011 Looks as though the Kniolas are preparing for a holiday Thanksgiving, filled with plenty of turkey turds and rainwater! Yes, it's true, we now own two adorable, yet really ugly turkeys. I specifically rounded them up for my husbands birthday since it was coming up soon. I figured since they were only three months old, they would be small enough to hide until his actually birthday. Well, I was wrong! When I arrived to pick them up with my two youngest, I just about fell over dead. They already stood two feet tall! My mind swirled around in shock over their sizes as I wondered how was I going to fit them in this little box filled with hay? How was I going to drive them in my van if they flew around crashing into windows? I knew I was in for an interesting ride home. The boys helped me pick out just the right two as a flock of 12 to 14 other adult turkeys gobble, gobble, and gobbled some more as they followed their owners every move.

Humble Beginnings

Raising four boys in this lifetime has not come easy. Now that I'm down to my last son in the home, I find myself trying harder than I ever, as to humble one's thoughts. His thoughts. Our young generation is struggling. Trying to keep up in today's world is just too much for these fragile young minds to handle. Heck, I'm 53 and I find it a struggle myself. Life is a different ball game in these trying years, but most important, we should tackle them hands on, the best we can.   What is humbling beginnings to me?  Well, if you look into our younger generation now, it's obvious it's all about them. They have no filters, they find themselves so caught up in one's self, they tend to lose value as to who they really are and to those who surround them. (If that makes any sense). I am here to humble those who get a little ahead of themselves, and I find I am doing that more and more with my youngest, Matthew.  Even his brothers are doing the best they can to guide
